A 1985 Yamaha RZ250 mated with:

- Cagiva rear subframe, seat and lighting.
- Honda VFR400 swing arm, wheel and suspension.
- Suzuki RG chambers.
What? Where are the Kawasaki parts I hear you ask - good question... watch this space? :P This is a bitsa build, a bit of a pig dog with the 2T kick and a zero f###s given attitude toward keeping this restoration in line with it's stock origin.
Would really love to EFI this as the next "big" ticket item.
Why EFI? 2T are awesome fun but output around 10X the glorious smoke when compared with an efficient 4T engine - would be nice to have a smaller footprint and maybe not smoke out my riding mates behind me. Not sure how much an EFI setup would effectively claw back though or how much power one would gain/lose by doing so.
Just some food for thought really:
These guys had a project in asia to retrofit smokers into more enviro friendly engines:
envirofit - no longer manufacture them however:
an 85 RZ350 that went EFI - how fitting (should attempt to contact):
